B-L-E-S-S-E-D

Hey hey hey!! Wow I am SO BLESSED these past few weeks! Tito Onie has officially assigned me to take home the church laptop (YAY!) since the p&w rehearsal is always held here so I could just directly prepare the lineup for the Sunday service. Would it be obvious if I mentioned that I'm typing this offline now, while lounging on my bed? Exactly. I've been busy with a lot of things. So much stuff going on that I do not know where to start. But first off - Debbie~spaghetti came back from S'pore for hols. It was sad cuz we didn't spend much time together while she was here.. but we did went to Panaga Club to see the Ballet (Starlight dance) though... it was great! Do you know those times when you were just thinking of having something, and then you get it? Well, I gave God $10 and He gives back a hundred! =D it was through my godmother, ninang Naideth, whom I haven't seen for aeons, so as a gift she gave me $100! And what more... she says she still owes me much to m...

Let's pretend that I forgot to type in the subject.

We had a special guest yesterday night... Pstr. Benedict Rajan of Calvary Charismatic Center, Johor Bahru, Malaysia... I think he specialises in the gifts of healing... very nice and fatherly type who simply loves children... Anyway, he preached about "Gratitude"... living in thankfulness.. "Gratitude is a God-honoring attitude... " "Your attitude determines your altitude in Christ.. " "Gratitude is the pathway to miracles..." Instead of grumbling because you don't get what you want, be thankful you don't get what you deserve... (when Christ died in our place, for our sins) - Daily Bread When we were being prayed for to receive the spirit of gratitude, I felt being filled like how water fills a glass and got overwhelmed.. and I realized.. I am IMMEASURABLY blessed... to think that I don't have enough makes me a fool! I mean, having all the essentials in life; food&water, clothes and shelter... I have more than enough, in fact it o...

Nose to the book... time to get engrossed

I've been reading a LOT of books lately... some Roald Dahl... but most esp. Christian literature which I borrow from the churchouse library... here's a list of the books I've read (some just this year, some old like last year) followed by their authors, unless I forgot the names (not in order though): Extravagant Worship - Darlene Zschech* Understanding God - Sunday Adelaja* The Man That God Will Use - Sunday Adelaja (The title says it all!!) When You Can't Live and Yet You Can't Die - Tatyana Galushko (sorry not sure of the name) Seven Steps to Judging Prophecy - Kenneth Hagin (important for us to distinguish between false and genuine prophets) A Handbook on Holy Spirit Baptism - Don Basham (your questions [concerning the Holy Spirit] answered) HEAVEN IS SO REAL! - Choo Thomas* (Jesus' End-time book, and my first wake-up call) A Divine Revelation of Hell - Mary K. Baxter (horrifying! =O I cried twice from the despair and mi...

Today is the 6th of the 6th of the 6th - not a good number...

Isn't it frustrating that while in the middle of watching a good show, the screen goes blank and the dreaded words "Services currently unavailable" pop up? Especially when you least expect it or, being apprehensive, don't want it to happen at any time! Rawr... it makes me wanna throw pillows at the TV set. If that didn't work, I'd climb onto the roof of the house and tilt the satellite dish. While the latter is too ridiculous... I think I'll stick to the more conventional approach - switch the decoder off, wait for a long 5 minutes, then turn it on again. Unfortunately I usually don't have my patience reserved for this type of situation so what better than to trudge toward the cubical object known as the "television" and shak -- bah, the heck with that. *sigh*... The downsides of Astro.

A peek at my journal....

Whilst in the midst of my own world You called out to me So loud , so clear . Made me stop in my tracks Oblivious to everything around me... I stood there gazing Wondering, " What is this? " So simple a phrase, yet so strong a meaning.. You said, " I love you, and I always will... " My head is spinning , my soul ablaze Could this be true? He died for me , for y ou , for all ? Despite our transgressions , through faith and confession ... He makes us His? Love beyondd reason. (c) 2006 Hannah P.B.S.

The Basic Difference between Christianity and the world's religions is this...

As a Hindu I was drowning in a large lake and I did not know how to swim. The religious leaders and gurus came by and gave me lectures on how to swim. Confucius taught, "You should have followed my teaching and then you would never have fallen," Mohammed advised, "Allah wills whatsoever he wills." Buddha came by and said, "It's all an illusion in the mind, change your mind and you will change the problem." Krishna came along and said, "It's your karma that you have fallen into the lake. You deserve it." Then Jesus Christ came. He did not give a lecture or some good advice. He said, "I have come to seek and to save those who are lost," and He came right into the lake and lifted me out of it and changed my life and put a new song in my heart. The song writer captured my sentiment when he wrote; "From sinking sand He lifted me, with tender hands He lifted me, From shades of night to plains of light, Oh praise His name, He ...

Making up for loss time....

The tongue is an amazing tool of the human body, regardless of its small size. Having said that, according to the Bible, the tongue can be like the tiny spark that would eventually create a forest fire. What comes out of one's mouth can either lift up a person's spirits or tear down another's. What you say can be the difference between life and death. Remember the story of the first ever twin brothers - Jacob and Esau. Esau despised and gave up his birthright just to temporarily satisfy his hunger at that moment, saying, "What good is the birthright to me?". What a loss! Well, what I am trying to say here is that I'm really grateful for my parents. Many times I've felt underappreciated and overlooked but their encouraging words despite my many failings touched me such that i was in tears last lunch =) God gave me a little miracle last Friday. The day before, my english teacher asked me if I would like to present an impromptu speech for the next day in the ...

Lemme think back on what's been happening... I went to Expression Music's mega-concert last 30th April in the Empire theatre... actually I thought I was going to be in the audience but then my mom suddenly informed me, "You're going to usher," USHER!! I cried. (Not in a way I would if I saw the artist though) I wouldn't be able to watch the show then! Hah but it was alright in the end, quite fun actually. I ushered at the left side of the theatre with Jascintha, tita Sheila, Brice, and Victor. Man, we stationed at our positions around 6.30 or 7pm I think (after we ate backstage), and the people just came pouring in! I thought, why do they all have to be on time? lol 'cause some people just breezed past us, thinking that they know their seats very well, but after some time came back to us to clarify. But others were really nice though, and may I say, a tad bit excited (like me =D). The concert was amazing of course! I took a ton of pics. I couldn't stan...

I know I haven't been updating much, but there's one thing I can promise...

Well, my dad's getting a new computer (finally! The pc i'm using now is incredibly slow! that's one reason why I don't blog often... hey at least my patience was stretched over the time) and I plan to sort out the files I want to discard and those I want to keep so I could transfer them to the new pc. After that I'll have to download certain programs such as an antivirus, spybot, ad-aware, etc.. so as to prevent what this pc has suffered ;) And of course! Mozilla Firefox! " 'Internet Explorer users can be as much as 21 times more likely to end up with a spyware-infected PC than people who go online with Mozilla's Firefox browser,' academic researchers from Microsoft's backyard said in a recently published paper," reports Gregg Keizer from TechWeb.com I'm telling you, if it wasn't for my bro's installation of MF, I would've never been able to browse the web, needless to say blog. Because IE is so slow and virus-prone, it now ...
