Goodbye, Oh-Eight.

Image
Looking back throughout the year, i can't help but get a tad bit emotional. Not oh-i-wanna-cut-myself emotional, but the positive one. I just really can't express how absolutely GRATEFUL i am... from the beginning of this year thinking i'd do my 'O' levels, to the unexpected drop-out soon after and just the whole sudden turn of events mid-year... it was a bittersweet memory. i took the time to appreciate everyone and everything - a couple of months is good enough - so i wouldn't leave too hard-hearted... shifting from small town to big city life.. wow... i looked into the bright side so i would get excited as well... then applying for college... i so remember cramming in for the entrance exam... lol... but all went perfectly smooth and i got in, i guess, my "dream" college here in Philly (i've considered Asia Pacific College... but nothin' beats DLS-CSB now that i'm there! XD) i've met great people, with whom i am continually amazed by

Thank God that it was just a HOAX. Whew! Filipino Twilighters can breathe now.~ *** If you've no idea what i'm talkin' about, READ THIS ARTICLE. My bro showed it to me... i totally freaked, of course. To quote: " ...if there is one country in the world that has a terrible reputation for ripping off huge moneymakers and making cheap remakes of hollywood blockbusters , it would have to be the Philippines ." " will someone hand me the sick bucket please? Pinoy tv already ruined Gossip Girl by creating Lipgloss. They shouldn't even think of destroying twilight too. NO. NO. NOOOOOOOO! Even the book's move adaptation din't do so great, what makes them think they can pull it off as a tv series? ambitious much?" Haha. I'm not tryna degrade my own race but things like this just annoys me to no end. i guess you can say that i'm passionate for cinema, especially when Digital Filmmaking happens to be my 2nd choice for a major. I remember la

Eh, only had one class today (which was PoliGov... survived yet again! XD) and there really was no reason for me to stay back and hang out in school after that except in the library and stuff. So i went straight home, but not before i accompanied Isel to the internet shop for awhile (her internet at home's not working). Then, of course, turning on the laptop when i got home, i got caught up browsing through galleries (looking for Code Geass' Kallen Black Knight outfit -- that i'll be wearing in cosplay) in DeviantArt and somehow ended up doing this: Stock image by sugargrl14 =) View my DeviantArt . it's been recently updated & more deviations will come regularly! Hehe well, it's actually time for me to do my project now, and 2 frickin' essays to write, all of which i would've done had i not got carried away by manipulating that photo =_= (oh, and looking for Silent Hill psp cheats and walk-throughs among Facebook-ing as well!) Seriously

yeahh, mannn!

3 words: COLLEGE is AWESOME . XD!!! Charmaigne was right: "...hurry up and finish form 5 so you can go to college!"

Since I stopped going to school last month, i've been slacking like a guy who got fired from his factory job. i've been sleeping late and waking up late, that my mom (and ptr ramesh too) insist that i start helping out at my church's office/recreation centre in Wisma Yakin. i agreed happily. Nothin' better than doing what i liked doing and being paid for it. I started on the 19th. Got picked up by Mag to the office. Church laptop wasn't with me, so i had to wait for pastor to deliver it. i played with these binder clips while waiting. Anyhoo, my first assignment was to make a collage of pictures of all the stuff we did like the visits to SMARTER Org. (a school for autistic children), and the Old Folks' Home. Oh and not forgetting our contribution of refreshments to the students during last year's His Majesty's birthday celebration. Ugh, i'll have to stop here. Can't even find the rest of the pics...

The Expression Mega Concert was awesome last sunday night. But if you ask me, I think I still prefer the previous one in 2006. I dunno... maybe it had something to do with the venue. The first two mega concerts were held in the Empire theater, but this year in the International Convention Center (or ICC) to accommodate a larger audience. But it still isn't half as pretty as the Empire Theater's ^___^ so yeah.... Much of the performances were to promote the founder (and my first ever piano teacher back when I was 7), Lily Chiam's, debut album :) The songs were beautiful and she specially imported a singer from India to sing a few of her songs (since, i heard, the rest of her album songs are simply instrumentals) while she performed on the grand piano. Her album's producer, Richard Fowler, also sang and according to Sumi he was the same guy who also lent his voice to the album :) I haven't gotten her album yet (which btw is entitled "Together") for "lac

Will the grass be greener?

I'm looking on the bright side...

Boom...

It's been a week since the bomb was dropped. Oh well... i have to get used to the idea of it. But the following keeps replaying over and over again in my head!!!........ I won't be in the Class of 2008 in the school yearbook! I won't have a proper graduation! I won't be able to go to our graduating prom! I won't be spending my last Christmas here!! nyaaarghghh..... I haven't exactly told anyone yet...

Pink Slip?

Just dropping by to let yall know, i doubt if i can keep up with this blogging scene. Unlike my early days of (daily!) blogging, i'm now VERY RARELY bored, but always up and about. So okay, for one thing when i have the free time, i'd rather do more "productive" stuff. i have lots of ideas, thoughts, randomness etc etc waiting to be splurged out (always in my head), but the problem is that i am at most too lazy to put fingers to keys to type it up! No, i am NOT leaving the Blogosphere and closing down this blog (how could i? i typed my life here since i was 12), i will still try my best to blog, at least once a week... ;)

! Word Play !

It all started with "Waiter! Foon and spork, please." LOL. I'm clumsy, and I stumble over words (and letters) a lot. But!! It has been a good stumble since I have then turned it into a fun little game... try it =) Just pick two seemingly relational words and exchange their frontmost letters. Sometimes you may have to move the first two (or three) letters such that it would be "Gry and Skound" for "Sky and Ground" (make use of your knowledge of vowels and consonants!) Here are a few I've picked up (see if you can get them *wink*) : fands and heet shalf and chin cot and hold rake and feal wain rater honglouse pewsnaper dight and lark powling bins yew near tairy fales chable and thair smig and ball woors and dindows cloor and feiling dom and mad dood and frinks braidsmide.... and a whole plethora of others! =D Kluck yer Knackles! (crack your knuckles... haha, kind of tricky, complete w/ Singlish and Co

Aunt Simone and her family's leaving soon... here are some pics from their last sunday in church:- Presenting a farewell gift to them... it was a framed photoshop collage courtesy of me! =) Davy, moi, aunt Simone, Jascinta and her mom, aunty Annie Yessss, we got Joao to take a photo with us! We didn't even have to chase him around like a farmer chasing his chicken. Then we took Davy out at night. Well, we never actually planned to go out but just a visit to their house, but he wanted to go out (i think partly because we couldn't decided on which DVD to watch then) so yeah... couldn't think of a good place so we just ended up at Wywy. Checking out the DVDs and CDs... Talissa blowing bubbles to Melvin and Jason's delight... Aww, Joao trying to exercise. hahah :) The rest of the pics are with aunty Simone. Just realized we didn't take pics at Wywy. Heheheh. And here are pics from last month's Carshow... I remembered how No

Solo on V-Day

Or D-day as in "Dooms day" as some might call it. But it can't be all that bad, besides, being single has the privilege of freedom and lots of time for "me" time! So don't be glum on Valentine's... here's a pretty neat excerpt i got from Mirror Mirror by Kara Powell and Kendall Payne for all us singletons: Romancing yourself How do you define "romance"? In your mind does it always conjure up images of a boy and a girl? Do you need a guy in your life to have romance? Well, the Oxford Dictionary defines romance as an "atmosphere or tendency characterized by a sense of remoteness from or idealization of everyday life." It defines romantic, "as of, or characterized by... an idealized, sentimental, or fantastic view of reality." What this should tell you is that every minute of your solitude can be romantic; you don't need to have a boyfriend. Romance is an atmosphere you can live in. It is not the silly sentimen

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!!!!
